MyBring

This article explains how to use MyBring in the Mystore control panel to print shipping labels and track shipments directly on orders.

What is MyBring?

MyBring is a free service from Bring that allows you to:

  • print shipping labels directly from order processing
  • automatically transfer shipping information
  • track shipments directly on the order

MyBring in use

When MyBring is activated, you can print shipping labels directly from the order page in the control panel.

Important to know:

  • Only the shipping method Bring – Package to pick-up point can be printed via MyBring EDI in the control panel
  • MyBring is used directly in order processing – no external solution is necessary

How shipping label printing works

  1. Go to Orders/Customers → Process orders
  2. Open desired order
  3. Select Print shipping label
  4. The label is generated via MyBring and is ready for printing

Tracking directly on the order

When a shipping label is created via MyBring:

  • the tracking number is automatically added to the order
  • both you and the customer can track the shipment
  • the tracking information is displayed directly on the order page in the control panel

This provides a better overview and simpler customer service.

Customs Information (NVIT)

Shipments going via Sweden or Finland – including domestic shipments within Norway – require customs information at the item line level. MyBring can send this along with the booking.

Just above the button Print label, you will find the checkbox Include NVIT customs declaration. Check this box before printing, and the customs declaration will be included.

If you want the field to always be checked, set NVIT default on to true under Extensions → Your Extensions

The declaration is built from the item lines on the order and uses the HS code and country of origin from the products. If anything is missing, Mystore will show a red warning with the affected products. The label will be printed regardless, but those item lines will be sent with empty fields.

If you see neither the checkbox nor the button Print label, you have too few credits – in that case, the entire panel is replaced by a message to top up your account.

See Customs clearance of Norwegian goods in transit (NVIT) for how to register HS codes and countries of origin.

Change MyBring settings

You manage MyBring under Extensions → Your extensions in the control panel.

Here you can:

  • Activate module – Turns MyBring on or off for the online store
  • Bring API key – Used for authentication with Bring
  • Bring username – Identifies your MyBring account
  • NVIT default on – Pre-checks for customs declaration on each order
  • Update – Saves changes to the setup

These settings must be correctly filled in for shipping labels to be generated via MyBring in order processing.

If NVIT default on is missing from the list, click Update on the extension. Stores that installed MyBring before NVIT support was available will only get the setting after such an update. Username, API key, and printer setup are retained.

Important to know

  • MyBring is free to use
  • Only supported Bring services can be used via MyBring EDI
  • Tracking is only shown when a shipping label has been created via MyBring
  • NVIT customs declaration is only sent when the label is ordered from Mystore – if you create the shipment manually in MyBring, you must enter the customs information there
