Duplicating Products
This article explains how to create a copy (duplicate) of an existing product in Acendy.
How to duplicate a product
- Go to Products → Products in your control panel.
- Click on the product you wish to duplicate.
- Click Duplicate.
- Select the category where you want to place the new product.
- Choose whether or not to copy the existing categories.
- Click Duplicate.
The new product is created as an identical copy of the original product.
Important steps after duplicating
Once the product has been duplicated, you should:
- Change the product name if necessary.
- Update the product URL.
- Verify the price, stock level, and SKU (article number).
- Adjust visibility settings before publishing.
⚠ Note: Duplicates do not share history; they begin as entirely new products.
Good to know
- The original product and the duplicate exist as two separate products.
- Changes made to one will not affect the other.
- Duplication is useful for:
- Similar products.
- Seasonal variants.
- Quickly creating new products.
