Instagram Feed (Elfsight)
This article explains how to add an Instagram feed to your online store using Elfsight. The integration provides flexible design options and can be used in both older templates and the Design Builder.
Before You Start
The Instagram feed is delivered via a third-party provider (Elfsight).
Benefits:
- Flexible design and layout
- Multiple display options
- Easy customization directly in Elfsight
Step 1: Create a Widget in Elfsight
- Go to the Elfsight Instagram widget page.
- Click Create widget for free.
- Set up the feed according to your preferred design.
- Click Embed code when finished.
- Copy the code snippet.
Important:
- Only use the part that starts with
<div>and ends with</div>. - Do not copy the
<script>part.
Step 2: Activate Elfsight in Mystore
- Go to Extensions → Your extensions
- Search for Elfsight
- Click + Install extension
- Click Settings
- Paste the code snippet
- Click Update
Elfsight in Older Design Templates (America, Europa, Tokyo)
The feed will display automatically once the code has been added to the Elfsight extension.
If you previously used the old Instagram integration and see a duplicate title:
Remove Old Instagram Title
- Go to Configuration → General
- Search for Instagram
- Set the setting to No
- Save
The title for the new feed is managed directly in Elfsight.
Elfsight in Design Builder
In Design Builder, you choose where the feed should appear.
How to add it:
- Go to Extensions → Your extensions
- Activate Elfsight
- Open Design Builder
- Add a new section: Column
- Inside the column, add the block Integration
- Open the block
- Paste the
<div>part of the code snippet - Save
Important:
- Do not paste the
<script>code.
The Feed Is Not Displayed?
The most common reason is that you have reached the view limit in the free version of Elfsight.
The free account includes a limited number of views per month.
How to check:
- Right-click in the storefront
- Select Inspect
- Mac:
Option + CMD + I - Windows:
Ctrl + Shift + I
- Mac:
- Go to the Console tab
- Look for the message:
APP_VIEWS_LIMIT_REACHED - If this message appears, you need to upgrade your Elfsight account.
The view limit resets every month.
Important to Know
- Only the
<div>code should be used in Mystore - Do not use both the old and new Instagram integrations at the same time
- Setup and design are primarily managed in Elfsight
What If This Does Not Solve the Issue?
- Verify that the correct code snippet has been pasted
- Ensure the Elfsight extension is activated
- Test in incognito mode
- Check whether the view limit has been reached
- Contact Mystore support if the feed still does not appear
