This article explains how to set up a shipping module for a fixed shipping price in Acendy.

What is "Fixed Price Shipping?"

"Fixed Price Shipping" is a shipping option that does not depend on retrieving prices via the carrier's API. With this, you set a fixed shipping price directly on the shipping method, which can be beneficial to have as a backup solution in busy seasons, such as Black Week, should problems arise with the connection to the carrier.

Setup and Installation

Here's how you can easily set up fixed shipping:

• Step 1: Go to Configuration > Shipping methods.
• Step 2: Click on "+ Add shipping".
• Step 3: Select "Fixed price shipping (ID: fixedprice)” and click "Install".

Step 4: Then click on the pencil to edit the shipping option and enter the desired shipping price excl. VAT and press "Save Changes".

The difference between the shipping option "Fixed price shipping" and "Fixed shipping" in Global settings is that "Fixed shipping" in Global settings is not a separate shipping option, but a setting you can set at a global level of your shipping options, regardless of how many and which shipping options you have installed. The "Fixed price shipping" shipping option is an actual shipping option you can install and offer your customers in Checkout.
