Reorder Point

The reorder point feature allows you to set a desired stock level for a product before it needs to be reordered. When the product's stock level reaches the set level, an email will be sent to the store, which can then make purchases or handle the product.

Get started

You can find the stock level under Apps > Settings. Search for "reorder point" and activate the module.

Using "Reorder point"

The service is easy to use and can be updated in several ways around the control panel.

Product page

On the product page you get a new tab, "Reorder point", it is on this tab you adjust the stock level on product/variants.

0 and higher, will activate alerts.

-1 and lower, will deactivate alerts.

Product without variants

If a product does not contain variants, only the main product will be displayed under the "Stock level" tab on the product.

Product with variants

If a product contains variants, each variant will be displayed in the overview. You can set the desired stock level for each variant.

Deactivate alerts

If you click "Deactivate", the variant will be set to -1 and thus be marked as deactivated and updated when saving the product.

Bulk editor

In "Bulk editor" there is support for "Stock level" in the form of display columns, files, quick editing and actions.

Columns

Stock level: This shows the stock level that is set on the product.

Filter

Stock level (Quantity): Will products that have stock level within the desired number.

Stock level reached (Yes/No): Only show products that have/have not reached their stock level.

Quick edit

Quick edit allows you to adjust and deactivate stock level for each product/variant. Remember to show the "Stock level" column before starting quick editing.

Actions After marking one or more products, you can click on "Bulk editor" and then select the action "Stock level". From there, you can deactivate the alerts on the selected products or set a new stock level.

Products with variants will have the same stock level for all variants.

If there are variants without active alerts, they will be activated with the selected stock level.

Display in "Bulk editor"

You can easily create your own view to quickly find products that have, for example, reached their stock level. In the picture below you can see a view that is set up to list products that have reached their stock level, in addition to showing columns for both available stock and stock level.

In this way, you can at any time see all the products with stock level, with just a few keystrokes.

Psst..!

Further down we describe how you can add the view to the email that is sent when your products reach the desired stock level.

Transfer existing values

Since the values from minimum stock level are not automatically transferred to stock level, this must be done manually. Fortunately, it can easily be done using bulk editor.

Select a random product

Under actions, select "Transfer Minimum Stock Level to Stock Level".

Confirm the action and start the transfer.

When the action is completed, the existing level for notification will be entered as Stock Level on all products that have a registered value in Minimum Stock Level.

Minimum stock level

This action is only available to those who have previously used "Minimum stock level" and still have it active.

Settings

Recipients

Enter the email addresses that will receive notification of stock level. If you want to enter multiple recipients, these can be entered one after the other, but commas as separators.

Interval How often do you want to receive alerts? Choose between daily and weekly.

Interval day Choose which day alerts should be sent on. This setting only applies if "Weekly" is selected in the previous step.

Notifications

The notifications that are sent out will only list new products that have reached their stock level. That is, the same product will not be displayed on the notification several days in a row unless it has come into stock and then again ended up within the stock level.

Logic for notification

When a product ends up in stock level, it will be included in the email that is sent to the store. When the product is included in the email, it will be marked as "sent" in the background and will then not be included in more emails. When the product's stock level becomes more than the stock level, the "sent" marking will cease, which then means that it will be included in the email the next time it ends up at the stock level.

Outbound email

The outbound email with stock level looks like this:

How to add optional view

The "See all products with stock level" button sends you by default to the front page of bulk editor. If you have created your own view for products with stock level, you can choose to add a direct link to this.

Navigate to Apps > Settings and open "Stock level". When you press the cogwheel, you will see that you have received a choice called "View in bulk editor". This choice allows you to choose the view that will be linked to the email you receive.
