Installing Paypal

This article guides you through the process of installing and configuring the PayPal payment module in Acendy. It also explains how to create API credentials in PayPal and add them to Acendy.

Install Paypal

  1. Go to Configuration > Payment Modules.
  2. Select "Paypal Checkout Express" from the list and click "Install Module".
  3. You now need to create API keys in PayPal.

Create Api Credentials Paypal

  1. Go to PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/mep/dashboard
  2. Click the cogwheel, then click on "Account settings".
  3. When you get to the next page, search for "API" in the upper left and find "API access".
  4. Click "Update" next to API access.
  5. Click "Manage API credentials" under "NVP / SOAP API integration.
  6. Select "Request Signature" and not an API certificate.

If you have already generated an API signature, press "Show" to show your keys.

If you want to create new keys, just press "Remove" twice to confirm removal of old keys. 

Add Api Credentials in Acendy

  1. Log in to your Acendy control panel.
  2. Go to "Configuration > Payment modules".
  3. Open "Paypal Checkout Express".
  4. Copy your credentials from your desktop and add them to the fields for "API username, API password and API signature".
  5. Then set up the desired settings in the other fields.

Note: If you want PayPal to be a payment option in Klarna Checkout? Contact customer service and we can activate the display of PayPal in Klarna Checkout. Note that the installation described above must be carried out.
