Product collections — AI help
AI can suggest names, products, short names, and colors in your product collections. You see the suggestions first and choose yourself what to use. The suggestions work when you edit a collection, either on a product or on the page for global collections and Product Variants.
Before you use AI
- AI features must be turned on for the store. If they are not, the button will prompt you to turn them on. If AI is not available on your plan, or if it is turned off for the store, the button is locked.
- When AI is used, store name and product name are sent to OpenAI. Customer and order data are not sent.
- You have a number of free suggestions. When they are used up, credits will be deducted. If credits are also used up, you will be notified to purchase more.
- If AI does not provide any suggestion, or if the service is unavailable, you will not be charged.
What AI can do

All features need at least one product in the collection. AI reads up to 30 of the products in the collection, and selects suggestions from up to 80 active products in the store.
AI adapts suggestions to the collection type. For example, it knows that a Product Variants collection should contain variants of the same product, and that a Shop the Look collection should contain products used together.
How to use suggestions
1. Click the pencil icon on the collection, and click the button for the function you want to use.
2. Read the suggestions. Click Add or Use on the ones you want to keep, or Add allUse all
3. Click Save
Click Close suggestions if you do not want to use anything.
Name
You get three suggestions. Click one to use it as the name, then save. The name can be up to 60 characters.
Products
AI selects among active products and does not suggest products that are already included. If there are no other active products, you will be notified.
Short name
AI reads the product names and finds what distinguishes them. Short names can be up to 40 characters. Products that already have a short name in all languages are skipped.
Colors
AI suggests colors only for products that do not have any from before. If it finds no color words in the product names, you get no suggestions and will not be charged.

AI can make mistakes. Review colors, short names, and products before using them, especially if the product names are unusual.
