Editing a theme in draft

Editing a theme in draft

Drafts can be edited and changed as much as desired without affecting the online store's appearance. As long as the theme is in draft, all changes are internal. Only when the theme is published will the changes be visible to the end customer.

Status indicator

All themes are clearly marked at the top with a status indicator. When a theme is in draft, it will be marked with Draft at the top.

Active pages in draft

Even if you are working on a theme and it is still in draft, you must choose one page to be the main page for that theme. This "active" page is the one that will be displayed to those who visit the website when the theme is finished and published.

The active page is indicated with the Active mark in the top menu.

Editing and saving a draft

As you edit a draft, you can save the changes continuously. These changes are not visible to the end customer but can be previewed at any time.

If you want to create a new variant of an existing draft, you can do this by duplicating the draft.
