Hiding variants from storefront
This article explains how to hide variants you do not want to display in the online store.
If you have inventory-managed variants that you no longer want to display in the online store, it is better to hide them than to delete them. Deleting a variant removes all inventory history and links to stock counts and purchase orders.
How to hide a variant
- Go to Products → Products and open the relevant product
- Open the tab Variants
- Scroll down to the variant combination box
- Select the variant you want to hide
- Click Save changes
The variant is now hidden from the online store and cannot be purchased by customers.
Important to know
- Hidden variants retain all inventory history and links to stock counts and purchase orders.
- You can make the variant visible again at any time by unhiding it and saving the changes.
