Employee Cards
This article explains what employee cards are, how they are used in the POS (Point of Sale), and how to generate employee cards for staff members.
What are employee cards?
Employee cards are used in the POS to:
- Log in quickly
- Switch employee during a sale
- Register the correct salesperson on an order
The card contains a barcode that is scanned in the POS.
Each administrator automatically receives an employee card.
How to generate employee cards
- Go to Configuration → Administrators
- Click Actions
- Select Employee cards
Choose which cards to generate
By default, employee cards are generated for all employees.
You can also select specific employees:
- Enable Selected employees
- Click in the Select employees field
- Choose the desired employees
- Click Generate PDF for printing
Download the PDF file.
You can:
- Print it directly
- Edit the PDF before printing
Important to know
- Employee cards can only be generated for active users.
- Each employee must have a PIN code to use the card in the POS.
- Changing the PIN does not affect the card itself, only the login.
- The card is used by scanning the barcode in the POS.
Troubleshooting
Problem: An employee does not appear in the list
Cause: The user is not active or does not have the correct access
Solution: Check the user status under Configuration → Administrators
