Rating of the online store
Google Customer Reviews is an extension of Google Shopping that allows your customers to provide feedback after they have completed a purchase in your online store. If you have this service installed, your customers will be asked during checkout if they want to sign up for the survey (see the screenshot below). The survey only contains questions about the customer's experience of shopping in the online store. Once you have received 50 feedbacks with a rating above 3.5 out of 5 possible, your Google Customer Reviews Badge will be available.
Product rating on the shopping network
With 50 or more feedbacks, you also get the opportunity to activate "Google Product Rating" in Google Merchant Center. With this feature, star ratings become available on Google Shopping campaigns when a product has at least three feedbacks.
Note! Google Product Rating requires that valid EAN codes (barcodes) are entered in the control panel on the product in question. Google collects the barcodes and checks them before linking feedbacks to the product.
How do i get this installed in my online store?
To get the service installed in your online store, you must:
- Read more and order the service here:
- Have an active Merchant Center account. We need your Merchant Center ID to implement the service in the online store.
- Sign an agreement between your online store and Google. Read more about the agreement here:
The image below shows where you can keep track of registered, sent and completed feedbacks in Merchant Center.
In the menu for Customer Review Setup you will find four options.
- Overview: Here you get an overview of the survey.
- Product Review: As mentioned, you can activate this when the online store has received over 50 feedbacks
- Settings: The code for Customer Review and Customer Review Badge integration (see image below)
Cut out the code snippet and send it to customer service when you want the badge implemented in the online store.
