Commit stocktaking

Commit stocktaking

This article explains how to confirm a stocktaking in Acendy, updating the stock levels with the counted quantities.

Select items for committing

After the stocktaking is complete, it's time to update the stock by confirming the count. The stock is only updated once a count is confirmed.

To update the stock with the quantities from the count, you need to confirm the count.

This means that the stock balance is not updated continuously as you count, so it is also important to remember to correct the count if you process orders along the way.

To confirm a count, you can either click the "Bekreft telling" button in an active stocktaking or go to "Åpne tellinger" in the side menu. Remember to select which items you want to confirm before pressing "Bekreft telling".

Before you can confirm a count, you must choose which items to confirm. This is done in one of the following ways:

  1. Click in the check box behind the items you want to confirm
    • You will now also get a blue banner that allows you to mark all items on the open page in one click
  2. Click on the top check box to select all items on the page that is open
    • If you choose to mark all on the open page, the blue banner will change with the option to mark all items across all pages

It is also possible to use filters to find specific items or make a selection that you want to confirm.
When you have selected the items you want to confirm, press "Bekreft telling" in the upper right corner.

Commit and confirm

The job itself, which confirms and updates the stock balance, happens in the background, but we will notify you by e-mail when the job is done.

Recipiens

Choose who should be notified by e-mail when the confirmation is complete. By default, the user who starts the confirmation is added, but it is possible to add more recipients here.
You can also choose whether to activate hidden/deactivated products that receive positive available stock as a result of the confirmation.

Confirm count

When a count is confirmed, you will be notified that the job has started and that you can safely navigate away from the page.
As long as a job is running in the background, you will be met with a banner explaining this and showing who started the job, when it was started, etc.

Inventory successfully updated

When the job is completed, a confirmation is sent to the e-mail recipient(s) that were added in step 1.
This e-mail also contains information about the number of items, who started the job, and links to the help center and videos for reporting.

It may be a good idea to save this e-mail, as it functions as a kind of log of when a count was confirmed and who started the job.
