This article explains how to apply for a BAX number to use external gift cards with your Acendy point of sale system, and how to add more external gift cards.

Apply for a BAX number

To use external gift cards on your point of sale system, you need a BAX number. This number links all transactions made by the gift card provider to your payout account. A BAX agreement is between the user location and the bank. To apply for a BAX number:

1. Fill out this form and submit it to us. We will forward it to your bank, which will ask for a digital signature in the online bank.
2. Your bank forwards the signed form to Nets to create a BAX number.
3. Once your BAX number is created, your bank will send it to you.
4. Send your BAX number to kundeservice@acendy.no
5. We will then send your BAX number and BIN on the gift card to your payment acquirer to link it to your payment terminal.

This process can take some time as several parties are involved.

Add more external gift cards

If you want to activate more gift cards, get the BIN number from the gift card issuer and send it with your BAX number to Kundeservice@acendy.no as mentioned above. Once you have a BAX number, it is easy to add more external gift cards.
