Using external gift cards in Acendy POS
Ordering and Installation – Overview
The process consists of two main steps:
- Apply for a BAX number via the application form
- Activate the gift card on the payment terminal
Please note that this process may take some time, as both the bank and the payment acquirer are involved.
Apply for a BAX Number
To use external gift cards, you need a BAX number. This number is used to link gift card transactions to the correct settlement account.
A BAX agreement is a contract between you and your bank.
How to apply:
- Complete the BAX application form. You can find the form here!
- Once the form is submitted, we forward the application to your bank.
- The bank sends the signed agreement to Nets to create the BAX number.
- You will receive the BAX number from your bank once it has been created.
Submit BAX Number and BIN Number
After receiving the BAX number from your bank, it must be sent to us for further setup.
Please email the following information to kundeservice@mystore.no:
- BAX number
- BIN number from the gift card provider
We will then forward the information to your payment acquirer, who will link the gift card to your payment terminal.
Multiple External Gift Cards
Do you want to activate additional external gift cards?
You only need:
- The BIN number from the new gift card issuer
- The same BAX number as before
Send this information to kundeservice@mystore.no, and we will assist you with the setup.
ℹ️ Tip!
Once the BAX number has been created, activating additional gift cards is faster, as you do not need to apply again.
