How to partially deliver an order

If you have an order where not all items can be delivered, or if you only want to deliver certain items, you can easily do this by choosing partial delivery. You can then select the items to be included in the new order.

Find and open the order you want to partially deliver.

Click on "Tools” and select “Partially deliver”

After selecting "Partial delivery", you will choose which items to deliver in the window that opens.

The items you select here will be moved to a new order, which can then be completed and sent to the customer.

If you want the customer to pay for shipping with the first delivery, select "Flytt frakt til ny ordre".

When you update the order, you will be notified that the order has been split and you will have the opportunity to open the new order.

The new order appears as any other order that you can deliver in the usual way. Above the product lines, you will see that the order has been partially delivered, and you can view the entire order tree.

Summary of partial delivery

When you choose to deliver parts of an order, you can also send a summary to the end customer.

Activate summary

To access the summary, you must first ensure that the email template is set up.

Go to Configuration > Text on pages > Outgoing email.

If the email template is not activated, you will see this warning at the top:

Click to add the email template. This will add a new template; "Dellevering", which can be customized if you have HTML knowledge.

Sending of summary

When you process an order, a new option will now appear, Send e-post med oppsummering av delt ordre til kunden, at the bottom along with other order processing options.

Standard sending

Through order settings (gear at the top of the order page, to the right of the order number), you can choose to set sending of summary as standard.

You will then not have to tick the option every time you process an order, as it happens automatically.
