Activate the design builder

Do you feel ready to show off the new look? You can activate the design for your customers at any time by activating the design builder in the theme selector. When this is done, your current design (Europa, America etc.) will be completely replaced by the design builder.

How to do it

When your beautiful new design is ready to be showcased, you can activate the design builder by following the steps below:

1. Navigate to "Explore the design builder": Menu > Design > Explore the design builder
2. At the bottom of the page there is a section, "Ready to launch?", with the button "Activate design builder". Click the button.
3. A new window opens. To complete the activation, you must:
4. 1. Check the box to confirm activation
   2. Click "Confirm"

Once these steps are completed, your new design will be visible to your customers.

To confirm that the new design is activated, you can open your online store in a new incognito window SHIFT + CTRL / CMD + N

Editing theme after activation

After you have activated the design builder, saving changes through the "Save and publish" button will also become visible to your customers. If you make changes to the design that you do not want to make visible to customers, this must be saved as a draft.

The design is displayed without you having activated it

For some, it may seem that the design has been activated without anyone having gone through the steps to activate the design builder.

This is most likely because you are logged in as an administrator and are seeing a preview of the new design. Unless you, or someone else in your store, has consciously chosen to activate the design builder, your customers will not see the new design.

The fastest way to check what a customer actually sees when they visit your store is to open a new incognito window. In an incognito window, you are logged out of the control panel.

1. Open new incognito window:
2. 1. Windows/Linux/Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
   2. Mac: Press ⌘ (Command) + Shift + N
   3. You can also find the incognito window option in your browser's menus.
2. Enter your store's web address and press enter
