Content Builder: Get started

The Content Builder is the new way to build content pages in your store: about us, shipping and returns, campaign pages, landing pages, and blog posts. You assemble the page from blocks you drag into place, and AI can design the entire page or parts of it for you.

💡 Beta
The Content Builder is in beta and will become the standard way to edit pages. It will replace both the classic editor and the Page Builder shortly.

Turn on the Content Builder

All administrators can turn on the Content Builder, and you only do it once for the entire store.

1. Open the Publishing Tool and open a page.

2. Find the card The new Content Builder between the page settings and the content.

3. Click Use the Content Builder and confirm.

4. The page reloads, and the card is gone.

When you turn it on, it applies to everyone using the control panel in the store. No pages are changed. Your pages remain as they were until you move them over yourself.

What happens to existing pages

The content builder opens on new and empty pages immediately. Pages that already have content will first open as before. You choose when you want to move a page over, and you do it one page at a time:

  • A page written in the classic editor gets the button Move to content builderA page built in the Page Builder gets the same options, in addition to
  • Go to Page Builder

How the move works is described in Content Builder: Move a page here

⚠️ The Page Builder cannot be used on new pages
New pages are built in the content builder. The Page Builder is only for existing pages that have not been moved.

Questions and answers

Can I turn it off again?
No, the new content builder replaces the old Page Builder and the classic page.

Do all my pages have to be moved?
Not now. Pages you have not moved will work as before. Since the content builder is going to replace both of the old editing tools, it is a good idea to move the pages gradually.
