Design builders advanced mode - what is it?

The builder has two modes (switched next to the Save button):

  • Basic Mode (Default): Ideal for quick content and color tweaks. Recommended for novice users.
  • Advanced Mode: Unlocks full layout control (margin, padding, columns, custom classes) for skilled design build-outs.

The switch for turning advanced mode on/off is located in the header, next to the save button.

Differences

Basic mode

This mode is perfect for minor changes like editing text and colors in an existing design. Structural layout settings (margin, padding, columns) are hidden to keep things simple.

Advanced mode

Use this mode for designing and building out your layout. It unlocks powerful structural settings, including margin, padding, gap control, custom classes, and many more advanced features.

Which should I use?

Your choice depends on your skill level and goal. Basic Mode is recommended for novice users maintaining an existing design, while Advanced Mode is the best choice for skilled users and designers building custom layouts.
