Product: Short description
The Short Description block shows the product description text on the product page. It can be shown in full or truncated to a few lines with a "read more" link, and it can fall back to a different source if the main description is empty.
What it shows
The product's description as it's been written in the product editor. Long descriptions can be cut off after a set number of lines, with a clickable "read more" that reveals the rest.

- Block conditions for show/hide rules.
Tips
- For long, marketing-heavy descriptions, set Description lines to 4–6 with Show read more on. It keeps the page scannable without losing detail.
- For short, factual descriptions, set lines to 0 (show all) so customers see everything at once.
- The fallback method is for products where you reuse content from elsewhere — leave it off if your descriptions are always populated.
