Pay with several giftcards online
Introduction
This article shows you how to let your customers merge multiple gift cards into a single new gift card. This new gift card can then be used as a payment method at checkout. This feature is available to anyone using the updated cart in the America design template or in the design builder.
Getting started
Before you begin, ensure you're using the correct cart version. Then, update the "Gift Cards" extension under "Your Extensions". Once the update is complete, you can enable the option "Allow merging of gift cards in cart".
How it works
After activation, your customers will see a new option under the gift card tab. This opens a tool that allows them to merge as many gift cards as they wish into one new gift card. The new gift card will hold the total value of all the combined gift cards.
Customers can choose to:
- Copy the new gift card code.
- Use the code directly at checkout.
- Have the code sent to an email for later use.
