Product settings

This article provides an overview of all settings on the product page and explains what the different fields mean. Product settings are used to control pricing, inventory, visibility, display, and other product behavior in the online store.

How to access product settings

  1. Go to Products → Products
  2. Click the desired product
  3. Select Edit

You will now see several sections where you can enter and manage product details.


Overview of product sections

  • Miscellaneous: Enter basic and essential product information such as name, price, description, and images.
    Below, you will find a detailed explanation of each setting in this section.
  • Variants: Use this section if the product is available in different sizes, colors, materials, etc.

  • Offer: Easily see if the product is on sale or adjust the sale price directly here.
    For larger campaigns, we recommend using the Campaign Center.

  • Stock groups: For advanced inventory management, inventory groups define how products behave based on stock levels.
    This is useful for setting specific sales rules (e.g., allowing overselling for some products but not others).

  • Tags: Use tags to control specific product behavior, such as creating gift cards.

  • SEO: Optimize your products for search engines by adding titles, meta descriptions, and keywords. Good SEO increases visibility in Google.

  • Procurement: Provides an overview if the product is part of a purchase order.

  • Log: View a history of changes made directly on the product page.

1. Identity and visibility

Name

The product name as displayed to customers in the online store.

Visibility

Determines how the product is displayed:

  • Active – The product is visible and can be purchased
  • Disabled – The product is not visible and cannot be purchased, but all history is retained
  • Hidden – The product is not visible in the online store but can still be purchased via direct link or as part of a product bundle

Visible in POS

Determines whether the product can be sold in the physical store (POS).


2. Additional product information (internal use)

Internal information not visible to customers.

  • Supplier item number – The supplier’s product number
  • Note – Internal note
  • Location – Internal warehouse location

3. Categorization and structure

Determines which categories the product belongs to.

  • A product can belong to multiple categories
  • The product must be linked to at least one category to be visible in the online store

4. Miscellaneous

Pricing and VAT

  • VAT – The VAT rate applied to the product
  • Cost price – Purchase price, used for margin and profit calculations
  • Sales price (excl. VAT) – Base price excluding VAT
  • Sales price (incl. VAT) – Base price including VAT
  • Store price (excl. VAT) – Price used in physical stores. If set to 0, the sales price is used
  • Store price (incl. VAT) – Store price including VAT

Sales price and store price may differ.


Inventory and availability

  • Stock quantity – Available inventory
  • Date created – Used for “New” labels and new product categories
  • Available from – Date the product becomes purchasable

Product identification

  • Item number (SKU) – Internal product number (required for POS and recommended for inventory and reporting)
  • EAN / GTIN – Barcode used in POS and external systems

Shipping and weight

  • Weight (grams) – Used for shipping calculations
  • Additional shipping (excl. VAT) – Extra shipping cost excluding VAT
  • Additional shipping (incl. VAT) – Extra shipping cost including VAT

Button type

Determines how the purchase button appears:

  • Buy
  • Pre-order
  • Contact us
  • Hide button
  • Out of stock

5. Display and navigation

Product description

The description shown on the product page.

You can use the digital assistant by clicking the magic wand icon:

  • 25 free uses
  • Credits are required afterward

Tabs

Add global tab

Created once and can be linked to multiple products.

New custom tab

Creates a unique tab for this specific product.

Edit global tab

Global tabs must be edited in a separate interface.

Important to know

  • Some changes are not saved automatically. Always click Save changes after editing
  • Changes are reflected immediately in the online store after saving
  • Some features require specific modules or subscription plans
