Acendy Consent Module

Be transparent about the information you collect in your online store with the Acendy consent module. This tool helps you meet Google's requirement for opt-out options for tracking, so you can continue advertising in search engines.

How the Consent Module Works

The module presents a pop-up in the online store with two options: Accept or Read More to choose which cookies they want to be active.

When the customer selects read more and customize, they will see the information as in the image below:

Note! If the customer makes no choice, you do not have consent for active tracking, and tracking codes or pixels are not available until the customer makes a choice.

How Does the Consent Module Affect My Online Store?

When you have installed the consent module in the online store, customers will be met with a banner on the page. They can choose to accept or reject tracking. Beyond this, customers can navigate and shop as normal on the page.

When the consent module is activated, user data is sent to tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads. You may experience a decrease in the display of user data as the customer gets a choice about what they want to share with you.

The decrease in display will apply where visitors do not make an active choice, or reject the tracking. For these customers, Google Consent Mode is activated and Cookie-less data is sent to Google Analytics and Google Ads.

You may also experience an increase in registered direct (none) traffic, as cookies are not activated before the module is used.

The consent module will not affect tracking for purchase conversions.
