Different Variant Types

This article describes the different types of variants that can be used for different purposes in Acendy.

Variant Types

There are several types of variants that can be used for different purposes:

Dropdown menu

Standard dropdown menu with predefined values.

Text field (small/large)

Allows the customer to enter the desired text. This can be used for products that offer engraving, personal printing, or similar customizations.

Image upload

Allows the customer to upload an image that is linked to the product, for example, for their own printing on the product. The maximum size per image is 8 mb.

Images on variant

You can link different product images to different variants, so that customers get an accurate picture of the variants of the product. The main image on the product page will then change as the customer selects a variant. For example, if you have a garment in different colors, you can link the images of the different colors to the associated variants.

1. Click "Add image" on the variant of a product
2. Enable image upload for the desired variant category:
   Select the desired variant category. Then click "Enable image upload".
3. Add images for each variant:
   You will now see a new column with a camera icon next to each variant/value. Click the camera icon to add images.
4. Save changes
   Remember to save or update the product by clicking "Save" at the top or bottom of the product page.
