Inventory Management for Variants

Inventory management lets you keep track of how many you have of each variant of a product. This is especially useful for products with multiple variations, such as different sizes or colours.

How to enable inventory management for variants

  1. Go to Products → Variants
  2. Select the relevant variant group (e.g. "Size")
  3. Enable inventory management for this group
  4. Click Save changes

Once inventory management is enabled, you can enter stock levels per variant on the product page.

How to set stock levels

  1. Go to Products → Products and open the desired product
  2. Go to the Variants tab
  3. Enter the quantity in stock for each variant value
  4. Click Save changes

Example: The product has the variant "Size" with the values S, M, L and XL. You enter 10 pcs for M, 5 pcs for L and 0 pcs for XL. The system displays this clearly, and customers cannot order variants that are out of stock.

Benefits of inventory management for variants

  • Easily see how many you have of each variant.
  • The system prevents sales of variants that are out of stock.
  • You can plan purchases better based on actual stock levels.

Good to know

  • Inventory management is enabled per variant group, not per product. All products that use an inventory-managed variant group will have inventory management.
  • Stock levels are updated automatically when orders are completed.
  • If you do not need inventory management, leave it disabled — customers can then order regardless of stock levels.
