Customer Benefits
Discover the various benefits you can offer to your customer club members and learn how to set them up effectively.
Exclusive Prices
Offering more favorable prices to customer club members is often the most appealing incentive for customers to join. You can set customer club prices directly on the products or manage them via the Customer Club customer group. By using the customer group, you can easily make bulk changes to prices based on category and/or manufacturer.
Earn Bonus Points
With Customer Club, you have the opportunity to reward your customers with bonus points. You can now also choose to award bonus points only to members of the customer club, making bonus points an exclusive benefit for members and a strong motivation for customers to join. Bonus points can easily be exchanged for discount codes via the customer's account in the online store.
If you want only members of the customer club to receive bonus points, navigate to Configuration > General > Customer Club and activate the setting "Only give bonus points to customer club members?" by setting it to YES.
Displaying Bonus Points Info on Product Pages
If you offer bonus points, you can choose whether to give bonus points to everyone or only to members of the customer club.
Bonus Points to All
Bonus Points Only to Members
When only members receive bonus points, the customer club price is used as the basis for the number of bonus points - as long as a customer club price is set. If a specific customer club price is not set, the full price is used as the basis for the number of bonus points.
Settings for Bonus Points
You determine how many points to award based on the product's price via Configuration > General > Bonus Points. Here, you also determine how many kroner each point should correspond to on the discount codes (that are exchanged).
Ratio for Point Calculation | Number of bonus points each krone should give. Ex. 0.1 gives 100 points per 1000 kroner. |
Can Cover Shipping/Fees | Should discount code from bonus points be able to cover shipping/fees? |
Ratio for Discount Calculation | Number of kroner discount each bonus point should give. Ex. 0.5 gives 50 kroner discount for 100 points. |
Limit for Use | Number of bonus points you must have before you can use them to get a discount |
Shipping
With Customer Club, you also have some new opportunities when it comes to shipping. You can now choose to set up one or more shipping methods only for members of the customer club, and/or set your own free shipping rules (on existing shipping methods) only for members.
Setting Up Shipping Methods Only for Members
If you want to give logged-in members their own shipping method (with its own price), do the following:
Go to Configuration > Shipping Methods and set up the desired shipping method with the desired name/text and price. Ex. Shipping Customer Club.
Go to Orders/Customers > Customer Groups > End Customer and uncheck the new shipping method (created for customer club) to exclude it for non-members. If you have multiple customer groups that should not receive this shipping method, you must do the same on those.
Go to Orders/Customers > Customer Groups > Customer Club and select any "regular" shipping methods that members should not see in the checkout.
Activate Free Shipping Only for Members
On the customer group Customer Club, you can now activate free shipping specifically for logged-in members. You do this via Orders/Customers > Customer Groups > Customer Club.
You have the same options here as you have for the general choice for free shipping.
