Search Tool in the Control Panel

This article explains how to use the search function in the control panel to quickly find orders, customers, products and settings.

How to open search

You can open search in two ways:

  1. Click in the search field at the top of the control panel
  2. Use a keyboard shortcut

Keyboard shortcut:

  • Mac: CMD + K
  • Windows: CTRL + K

What can be searched?

The search supports searching for the following information and functions:

  • Order
  • Customer
  • Product
  • Menu item
  • Purchase order
  • Settings
  • Tracking number

If you search for a tracking number, the order associated with that number will be displayed.

You can limit the search to one category by using a prefix.

Example:

  • Type k: before the name to search only among customers
  • Example: k: Kalle Klovn

Without a prefix, results from multiple categories will be shown.

Keyboard navigation

You can use the keyboard for faster navigation:

  • CMD / CTRL + K → Open search
  • ESC → Close search
  • Arrow up / down → Navigate through results
  • Enter → Open selected result
  • Arrow right → Open preview
  • Arrow left → Close preview
  • O → Open full list of results

Available shortcuts are displayed at the bottom of the search window.

Filtering search results

After performing a search, you can use the filter at the top of the search window.

Here you can:

  • Select category (orders, customers, products, etc.)
  • See the number of results per category

Important to know

  • Search displays results across modules if no prefix is used.
  • Keyboard shortcuts make navigation faster.

What if search is not working?

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Close and reopen the search
  3. Log out and log back in
  4. Clear your browser data for all time

If the issue persists, contact customer support and include:

  • What you are searching for
  • A screenshot of the search window
  • Any error message shown
