Search Tool
At the top of the control panel, you'll find a powerful search function, internally called "omnisearch" (one search for the entire control panel). You can search for products, menu items, orders, tracking numbers, and more. Best of all, it can be used with keyboard shortcuts!
Open search
To open the search field, click the magnifying glass at the top of the control panel, or simply press . (period)!
What can be searched?
The search supports searching for the following information and functions:
- Order
- Customer
- Product
- Menu item
- Purchase order
- Settings
- Tracking number (shows order belonging to tracking number)
Specific search
If you want to search within one of the categories above, you can use a prefix. For example, if you only want to search for a customer, you can write c: Kalle Klovn. The search will then only search among customers with that name. If you do not use a prefix, the search would also give results in orders, etc.
Navigation
The search allows you to use the keyboard for searching and navigation. At the bottom of the window, you will always see available keyboard shortcuts. These are:
- Period: activate search
- Esc (Escape): close search
- Arrow up/down: scroll up/down in the result
- Enter: open
- Arrow right: open preview in search result
- Arrow left: close preview
- O: If the result shows, for example, 5 of 10 hits, "O" will open a list of all hits
Filtering
After a search, you can use the filter at the top to only show hits within orders, customers, etc. Each filter also shows how many hits there are in each of these.
