Google Shopping: How to add pre-orders
Google Shopping: How to add pre-orders
This article explains how to configure pre-order options in Google Shopping for products that are not immediately available. This ensures that your pre-order products are correctly advertised without being disapproved by Google.
How to update products
To update products for pre-order in Google Shopping, follow these steps:
- Contact Acendy Support and request the activation of backorder/pre-order support in your shopping integration.
- Go to Bulk editor.
- Select the products that are available for pre-order.
- If the products are in multiple categories/brands, it may be useful to create a separate view for Bulk editor.
- Click "Bulk editor".
- Go to "Date available" > select the date the product will be available > Start the change.
- Go to "Change button type" > select "Pre-order/buy" > Start the change.
What to do with order items without a fixed availability date?
For order items with a dynamic date to be approved in Google Shopping, a custom tag must be activated in the store for the products this applies to.
Here's what you need to do:
- Notify Acendy customer service that the following tag should be created: "Dynamic availability date (Google Shopping)".
- When you receive confirmation that the tag has been created, activate the tag on the desired products:
- Select a product from the product catalog.
- Go to "Tagger".
- Find "Dynamic availability date (Google Shopping)" and add the number to the products this should apply to.
The "Date available" that appears in your product feed will now always be today's date + the value you have set in the tag.
The tag is not active by default and therefore has no value.
