File browser

This article provides an overview of the file explorer in Acendy, explaining how to navigate, manage files, and understand supported file types.

Overview

The file explorer can be found by navigating to Main menu > Tools > File explorer. The homepage provides an overview of all folders containing files for your control panel. The folders in the overview are automatically created by the system, and the most relevant files are located in the "Images" and "Logo" folders.

Working With Folders

The homepage provides an overview of various folders. These folders contain files uploaded via your control panel. Most contain configuration files that you don't need to worry about, but others (e.g., "Images") contain product and banner images. These folders can be used to find and download images that you have uploaded previously if you can no longer find the image locally on your PC.

Creating Custom Folders

You can easily create your own folders to keep things organized. This can be useful if you want to move product images and banner images into their own subfolders.

Click Actions > Create folder to create your own folders.

Moving Files Into a Folder

Once you have created your own folders, you can easily move your files. This is done by clicking on the desired file and then clicking "Move" under the preview. You will now have the option to move the file into the desired folder.

Tip!

Images linked to products are not affected by changing the location in the tool. However, you should avoid renaming images linked to products. See more info below.
