Customs Documentation

This article provides an overview of the commercial invoice and its importance in international trade.

Commercial Invoice

The commercial invoice is typically used in all international trade and forms the basis for customs authorities' determination of duties and taxes. The invoice should provide a complete overview of the shipment's contents, as well as the terms agreed upon between the buyer and seller (Incoterms).

This is important for the customs value of the goods and the correct calculation of duties and taxes.

When an order originates from a country other than Norway, you will have the option to select an english invoice on the order.

Do I Need to be IOSS-Registered?

You do not need to be IOSS-registered, as the goods are cleared in the recipient country.

IOSS is an optional scheme for businesses that sell values between 0 - 150 EUR per order (excluding shipping).

All sales over 150 EUR will be cleared as normal outside the IOSS scheme, even if you are IOSS-registered.
