Tips for setting up shipping

Here, we will go through the most common questions we receive regarding the setup of shipping methods in the control panel.

Setup Of Shipping

You can find all your shipping methods by going to General > Shipping methods in your control panel.

Here, you can manage all the settings for your various shipping methods.

Here, you have the option to set up manual or shipping modules that automatically calculate the price based on Bring's or Postnord's price lists.

Manual Shipping Methods

You can find your manual shipping methods by going to General > Shipping methods in your control panel.

Manual shipping methods calculate the price based on the setup you do directly on the shipping method. Below, we have gathered information about the most common shipping methods.

Fixed Shipping

Fixed shipping is a simple solution if you want to limit the number of shipping methods in the checkout. Fixed shipping works well if the products you send are approximately the same size and weight. Fixed shipping gives the customer a single choice at checkout, where you then send the package with the cheapest option.

The shipping method for fixed shipping looks like this in the control panel.

Tip

Remember that the shipping price for fixed shipping is entered excl. VAT, 79.20 excl. VAT = 99kr shipping price

Shipping Price Based On Postal Code And Weight

The manual table Shipping price based on postal code and weight is often used if you want to set up different zones for your shipping. A typical example might be if you send larger goods that are more expensive to send over longer distances.

Pick Up In Store

If you have a physical store, you can choose to let customers complete the purchase in the online store and then pick up the item in your store. This is easily fixed by installing the shipping method Pick up in store #2.

This shipping method can be limited to selected postal codes. Let's say your store has postal code 9010, and you do not want to show the shipping method for customers outside the local area. Then you can set up the shipping method as shown in the picture below.

Tip

If it is to be limited to one postal code, it must be entered as in the picture above: 9021-9021. If this is not done, the shipping method is available to everyone with a postal code after 9021.

Automatic Shipping Calculation

You also have the option to install shipping methods that automatically calculate the price based on Postnord's or Bring's price lists.

Acendy Shipping (Postnord)

All our customers have the option to sign an Acendy Shipping agreement. Included in this agreement are shipping methods that automatically calculate the price based on your shipping agreement.

These shipping methods are as follows.

Postnord Collect

Postnord's product for pick up in store. The package is delivered to the customer's nearest delivery point, store, or Postnord Pick-up-point. You can choose to have the shipping price calculated automatically or enter a fixed shipping price for this option.

Postnord Home Small

Postnord's product for packages in the mailbox. The package is delivered to the customer's mailbox. If you are going to send with Postnord Home Small, it is important that you read the parcel letter that is sent out in connection with the start-up of Acendy Shipping. You also need integration with Logistra to use Home Small. It is possible to set a fixed shipping price directly on the shipping method.

Postnord Home

Postnord home delivery. The package is delivered to the customer's home. It is possible to set a fixed shipping price on the shipping method, but since this shipping option costs a little more to send with, we recommend initially letting the shipping price be calculated automatically based on your shipping agreement.

Bring

If you want to send with Bring's shipping methods, this is also of course possible. Below, we go through Bring's most common shipping methods. An integration with Logistra will ensure that you can easily select the various shipping methods in order processing.

Package To Pick-Up-Point

Bring's product for pick up in store. The package is delivered to the customer's nearest delivery point, store, or Bring pick-up-point. You can choose to have the shipping price calculated automatically or enter a fixed shipping price for this option.

Package In The Mailbox

Bring's product for delivery directly to the customer's mailbox.

Conditions for sending a package with Package in the mailbox:

Maximum weight: 5kg
Maximum dimensions:
- Length max 45 cm. Length + width + thickness = max 90 cm
- Roll: Length max 45 cm. Length + diameter + diameter = max 90 cm

Package Delivered Home

Bring's home delivery. The package is delivered to the customer's home. It is possible to set a fixed shipping price on the shipping method, but since this shipping option costs a little more to send with, we recommend initially letting the shipping price be calculated automatically based on Bring's price list.
