Introducing the improved discount center! πŸš€

Hey there! πŸ‘‹

You might have noticed things were getting a little crowded in the discount admin, especially with all those inactive codes floating around from bonus points and newsletter signups. Well, say hello to a much tidier space! We've just rolled out a brand new, upgraded discount page! πŸŽ‰

WhatΒ΄s new? πŸŽ‰

  • Brand new filters: You can now sort your discounts by active, inactive, and the type of discount code. This will make it much easier to see exactly what discounts your customers have available.
  • Improved settings on discount codes: We've added a new search bar within the discount code settings. This makes it a breeze to select the specific categories and manufacturers that a discount code should apply to.

We hope these changes make managing your discounts a smoother experience! ✨

On March 31st you get access to a better way of crediting orders! πŸŽ‰

Starting March 31st, you'll automatically get access to Partial Delivery & Partial Credit in your control panel. This popular tool makes processing orders faster and easier, at no extra cost.

This feature has long been a favorite among many of our customers, and now everyone will have access – at no extra cost.

It allows you to:

βœ”οΈ Credit parts of an order, for example, one of two products on the same order line

βœ”οΈ Deliver goods in multiple stages if something is out of stock or delayed

βœ”οΈ Add fees when crediting, such as return postage or damage charges.

Partial Credit – More flexible customer service

Credit exactly what's needed, easily selecting products to credit. The system manages it via Klarna or Vipps, saving you manual work.

Note: If you're using Klarna, unique item numbers are required to partially credit an order line. Therefore, we've activated a solution ensuring everything works as it should – you will simply see a different reference than the item number on the order in Klarna.

Partial Delivery – Send what you have, the rest later
Send available items now, with delayed items sent later. The system automatically creates a new order for items that aren't ready.

FAQ πŸ™‹

  1. Will this affect how I complete orders?
No, this feature adds new possibilities, but you can process orders as before.
  2. Do I have to wait until March 31st to get access?
No need! If you want access now, you can easily activate "Partial Delivery & Partial Credit" via "Your Extensions" in the control panel.
  3. Do I have to use Product ID to partially credit/partially deliver orders paid with Klarna?
No, it is not necessary if you are certain that all your products (and variants) have unique item numbers. In that case, you can safely deactivate the feature "Use internal product ID as payment reference" via "Your Extensions."
  4. Can I keep the current method for crediting orders?
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to continue with the current solution, as it will soon be phased out.

New Instagram feed

Due to recent changes to Meta's Instagram Feed API, we have had to make some changes. Acendy will no longer provide it's own Instagram feed integration for displaying feeds. Instead, we've added the option to use Elfsight's 3rd party integration solution.

What is Elfsight?

Elfsight is a service that pre-builds an Instagram feed with a number of options and settings such as layout, hover effect, information to display and much more.

As a user, you can design it the way you want and then add the integration snippet to Acendy.

This gives users much more flexibility in how and what they display.

Does it cost anything?

Elfsight offers a free version of the Instagram feed. This comes with some limitations such as the number of widgets and monthly views.

They also offer paid versions for those who need more views and/or features.

Product Import news and improvements! πŸš€

Exciting news! Our product CSV import tool has been upgraded with several new features and improvements. These enhancements are designed to make your importing process smoother and more efficient than ever before. Check out these updates and see how they can benefit your workflow.

Image import πŸŒ…

The tool now has a dedicated mode for importing images directly from external URLs. Just upload a file with product ID or SKU and a columns with the image URL and we'll do the rest.
Oh yeah, we also support importing WEBP now!

Stock import πŸ“¦

With dedicated stock import, you can quickly and easily update stock on multiple products. All you need is the article number of the product/variant and the stock level.

There are a few caveats to bear in mind, which are explained here.

New way of handling stock
Previously the import tool calculated stock based on available and reserved.
This has now been rewritten to use a new field in the database dedicated to physical stock. The change should not affect the import other than making it go a little faster.

Product slug

First, what is a "product slug"? It's the name at the very back of the URL, after /products/ pointing it to the correct product.
When updating a product it's not recommended to change the slug as it may affect SEO and in worst cases even cause 404.

With the new changes to the import changing the slug is something you'll have to activate manually. Turning the product slug toggle on will use the product name to update the slug, unless you've actively selected a column in your file to be the new slug.

Read more about this change here β†’

Note, when updating slug redirects has to be setup manually

New category update option

Previously only categories without sub categories could hold products, but with the latest release we've added the option to add products to parent categories which has sub categories.

This however requires a setting to be toggled on my our staff. Contact support if necessary.
