Acendy complies with the requirements of pci dss as described in our pci dss certificate. Regarding our services, we want to specify what we as a supplier are responsible for in relation to the requirements of pci dss and what you as an Acendy customer are responsible for.

Checkout In Online Store/Self-Service Data Cash Register

As a customer of Acendy, you are responsible for not storing and/or acquiring end customers' card data. If you offer checkout for customers in the store on the store's hardware (pc/ipad or similar), it is your responsibility that the hardware in no way stores card data. Acendy is responsible for ensuring that the customer's card data is safely transported to Adyen for processing.

Data Cash Register With Terminal

Acendy is responsible for setting up the terminal with the correct software and preparing the terminal with the customer's merchantid so that it is correctly set up and ready for use against the correct account at Adyen. Acendy also sets passwords on the terminal. Acendy is responsible for keeping track of which terminals are out with which customer at any given time.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the terminal is safely stored and not tampered with. If the customer has reason to believe that the terminal has been tampered with, this must be immediately reported to Acendy customer service (see contact information below). The terminal must then not be used until Acendy has confirmed that it is safe.

The customer is also responsible for returning the terminal to Acendy upon termination and/or when it is no longer to be used.
