Newsletters to Customer Club Members

This article explains how to transfer Customer Club members to a newsletter provider for sending newsletters.

You can find the member overview under Customer Club → Members. To export the customer list, go to Orders/Customers → Customers.

Automatic transfer

If you have set up an integration with a newsletter provider (e.g. MailMojo), new Customer Club members are automatically transferred to the desired list.

How it works:

  1. The customer joins the Customer Club
  2. The customer is automatically opted in for newsletters upon sign-up
  3. The customer is transferred to the selected list at the newsletter provider

When a customer unsubscribes from the newsletter, the opt-in is removed automatically. The customer will then no longer be subscribed to newsletters via their Mystore account.

Manual transfer

If you have not set up an automatic integration, you must transfer the member list manually.

  1. Go to Orders/Customers → Customers
  2. Use the Customer Group filter and select Customer Club
  3. Export the member list
  4. Import the exported file to your newsletter provider (e.g. MailMojo or MailChimp)

Repeat these steps before each newsletter to ensure the list is up to date.

Good to know

  • We recommend creating a separate list for Customer Club members at your newsletter provider. This makes it easier to maintain an overview and send targeted newsletters.
  • With manual transfer there is no automatic synchronisation. The list must be updated manually each time you send a newsletter.
  • Automatic transfer requires that the integration with the newsletter provider is configured in advance.
