Calculation of Total Sum

This article provides a quick overview of how the total sum in the accounting report is calculated.

Total Sum

The total sum in the bottom line is the final price per order, summed up for all orders in the selection. That is, the total price of the order, with shipping and including VAT.

The differentiation based on payment method only distributes the selection in relation to the payment method used.

How is Profit Calculated?

A prerequisite for profit to be calculated is that the product, or variant, has a defined purchase price.

If you include the column selection Profit, you will be able to see the purchase price of the products subtracted from the sales price, in total for the order line.

No Profit Calculation on Orders Before May 2021

Unfortunately, we are unable to make any real profit calculation on orders created before May 2021, as we do not have a basis for calculating this.

Calculation

If the order is completed before May 2021, the profit is set to zero.

If the product in the order is a variant, the purchase price of the variant will be used.

If it is not a variant, or there is no price on the variant, the purchase price of the product will be used.

Then it is purchase price x quantity subtracted from the final price.
