Countdown timer in header

This article describes how to enable the countdown timer at the top of the American theme. This is useful for Black Friday, other campaigns, or initiatives.

Enable countdown

Go to design settings in the control panel:

• Menu > Design > Design settings, go to Advanced settings and select Countdown.

Settings

Here you can set:

• The date and time to count down to.
• The background and text color. This can also be done on the button.

On desktop, the button to link is visible. This is hidden on mobile due to available space. From the button, you can link to a landing page if you wish to do so. When the countdown is complete, it disappears from the top line.
