Minimum order limit
This article explains how to set a minimum order limit in Acendy, ensuring that customers meet a specific purchase threshold before completing their order.
How to activate the minimum order limit
- Go to Extensions > Your extensions and search for "Minimum order limit" and install the extension.
- Go to Configuration > Settings > Minimum order limit > Set a minimum order limit.
How does it work?
Set a limit: Specify the minimum amount that must be reached in the shopping cart.
Note: This amount must be an integer. It is also important to note that this limit can affect your customers' purchasing decisions.
Currency Management: If your online store supports multiple currencies, you can set a minimum limit for each currency. If an optional currency is activated and no limit is set for it, the limit for the standard currency will be used (according to the current exchange rate).
Standard currency: If no specific limit is set for an active currency, the limit for the standard currency will be used. This is converted based on the current exchange rate.
Optional currency: Specify a limit for each currency if necessary to avoid conversion based on the standard currency.
Visual elements
If you have the Belgrade design template, you can also display the minimum limit along with the totals in the shopping cart. This helps customers see how much more they need to add to reach the limit.
Notification message: If the minimum limit is not reached, a popup message will inform the customer that the minimum limit has not been met when they go to the shopping cart. This ensures that the customer is aware of what is required for them to proceed to checkout.
