Product Video

The Design Builder now supports displaying videos in the image carousel on the product page through product tags. This article explains how to integrate and configure product videos on your Acendy store.

About Product Tags

Unsure about product tags?

Product tags are code snippets that can be added at the product level to gain extended functionality. Tags must be added by Acendy and cannot be added by the store's own administrators.

Video Integration

To streamline the integration of videos, we standardize the handling of video links:

External video files: Use the video_link tag for videos stored on services such as Saas Video or other file services.

External video service: Use the embedded_video tag to embed a link to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
This eliminates the need to upload videos to your own storage; you can use well-known services. This tag will display the video in landscape mode.

External video service: The tag embedded_portrait_video supports the same as above but will display the video in portrait mode.

It is possible to use one, two, or all three tags simultaneously. This will display three buttons on the first product image on the product page.

Video display has three settings. These are global and will apply to all videos added via tags.
