Favorites

Favorites

The "Favorites" extension allows customers to easily add one or more products to a favorite list. Favorites do not require the customer to log in first, but doing so gives them even more options, such as sharing and creating multiple unique lists.

Activate extension

To use the function in your design, the extension must be activated through "Extensions".

Saving products

Since favorites can be saved both as a logged-in customer and not logged in, the products will be saved in different ways.

Logged in:

As a logged-in customer, the products added to favorites will be remembered until they are manually removed. You also have the option to create separate wish lists, make the lists shareable, etc.

Not logged in:

The products are now stored in local storage, i.e. locally in the customer's browser. This also means that products in the favorites list are only available in the browser the customer used. If browser data is deleted, the products will also be removed from the list.

Product boxes

Display of the icon/button for favorites is automatically added to product boxes when the extension is activated. You do not need to make any adjustments to the setup.

Product page

The page template for the product page supports customization of favorites:

  1. Open the template for the product page.
  2. Open the "Product purchase" section.
  3. Open the settings for the "Buy button" block.

Settings

Show favorites button

Activate the option to show a dedicated button for favorites. This is then displayed in connection with the buy button.

Show favorites as a separate button

The option will separate the buy button and the button for favorites. They are still placed next to each other but are separated.

Background color

If favorites are displayed as a separate button, the color should be adjusted manually by selecting "CUSTOM" as the background color.

Color of favorite button

You can change the color of the favorite button yourself. In the drop-down menu you can choose between LIGHT, DARK and CUSTOM. "Light" and "Dark" are best suited if you do not show favorites as a separate button, as it is based on the color of the purchase button.

Light
When using "Light", the button will use the same background color as the purchase button but get a white layer with about 20% transparency over it.

Dark
When using "Dark", the button will use the same background color as the purchase button but get a black layer with about 10% transparency over it.

Custom
If you choose "custom" as the desired color, you will have the opportunity to customize all colors yourself. You are free to choose the background color of the button and the color of the icon itself. In addition, you can choose separate colors when "hovering", i.e. when the mouse pointer is moved over the button.

My page / customer account

When a customer logs in to their user account, they will be able to see all products in the favorites list, add more lists and make the lists shareable.

After making a list shareable, you will be able to copy the public link to share the list with others.

Active list

If you have multiple lists, new products will be added to the list that is set to active.
