Customer Overview
Customer Overview
The customer overview provides a complete view of your customers, allowing filtering, search, and customer list exporting.
Customer Overview
To view all customers, go to Orders/Customers > Customers.
Here, you will find an overview of all customers registered in the store, with search and filtering capabilities.
Search, Filtering, and Column Display
Search The search field in the overview supports searching for the following fields: First name Last name First name + last name Phone number Company name Invoice email address |
Advanced Search
If searching by name doesn't yield the expected results, you can use "wildcard" searches.
Here we see that the search has no results after Kalle Klovn
However, if we write Kalle%Klovn, we get two hits, as % accounts for everything between the two search terms.
Filter By clicking "+ Filter," you can add several filters to find a selection of customers. Filters may vary based on your store's services. |
Column Display The customer overview has a series of pre-selected columns for displaying customer number, name, email, etc. In addition to these, there are several columns that can be displayed as needed. Just click the "Display" button to open the menu for adding/removing columns. Columns that are added support sorting and will also be included in the file if an export is done. |
Create Customer
First, go to Orders/Customers > Customers
Click the "New Customer" button; this opens a window to fill in the necessary fields for the customer.
The window has two modes: simple and advanced.
Simple:
Simple mode only shows the most necessary fields for registering customers.
Advanced:
Advanced mode takes you through customer creation in steps and contains more fields than simple mode.
Send Registration Link
By sending a registration link, you can give the customer a link that directly connects the registration to a customer group (requires advanced reseller solution).
To send a registration link, click "Actions" in the overview and select "Send Registration Link."
This opens a window where you fill in the customer's email address and desired customer group.
Options/Functions
If you go to Dashboard > Orders/Customers > Customers, and find the customer in the list there, you will see a menu (three dots) to the right of each customer. In this menu, you will find several options, such as "Create Order," "Send Email," "Delete," etc.
The same options can be found under "Actions" on the customer card.
See/Edit Customer
If it becomes necessary to find and/or edit customer information for a customer, this can be done as follows:
Go to Orders/Customers > Customers
Find the desired customer in the customer list or use the search field to find the desired customer
Open the customer card
Edit the desired fields
Press save
Create View
In the customer overview, it is possible to create custom views. These can be private or global, and you can choose to set a view as the default view.
A private view is only visible to the user who created it, while a global view is visible to all users in the control panel.
To create a view:
Add the columns, filters, and sorting you want to have in your view
Then click the save button up in the filter line
You can now choose whether you want to save over an existing view or create a new one:
Selection and customization of view.
After you have created a view, it can be selected inside the overview, or you can go to "Views" in the left menu to change the status, set the view as default, or delete a view.
From the "Views" page, you can set the view to the default view, as global, or delete it.
You can also open it directly by clicking the icon on the far left of the overview.
Export Customer Lists
If you use an external system to send newsletters, it may be appropriate to export customer information such as first name/last name/email to an external system; here you will find the procedure:
Log in to your control panel
Go to "Orders/customers -> Customers"
Make the desired selection to find the customers you want to export
Select "Export Customer Data" under the "Actions" menu
If the list of customers contains more than 15,000 customers, the export will be divided into several files.
When the export is ready, you can find it under "Export Archive" in the menu on the left.
