Google Shopping: Add shipping to your shopping feed

This article explains how to add shipping information to Google Merchant Center, which is now required by Google for feed approval. By adding shipping details, your products in Google searches will display delivery times and shipping costs.

How to enable shipping in Merchant Center

Here are the steps to enable shipping in Google Merchant Center:

  1. Log in to Google Merchant Center.
  2. Go to "Shipping and returns" under settings in the upper right corner.
  3. Select "+ Add shipping service".
  4. Add service name, country, and delivery location (to the customer's address).
  5. Add order deadline, order processing time, and estimated transit time.
  6. Choose the type of shipping you offer in your online store. You can choose one or more options. It is also possible to use "advanced settings" if you offer many options in your online store.
  7. Fill in the remaining details and activate the shipping service. You can also choose to add more shipping services.

Do you have weight-based shipping?

Our Google Shopping feed includes weight as long as it is added to your product. To properly set up shipping in Merchant Center, you must build a weight-price matrix in Merchant Center. You do this by following the steps above, and by selecting "switch to advanced settings" in the last step.
