Rejected Products on Facebook

This article explains how to handle products rejected by Facebook, including requesting a review if you believe a rejection was made in error.

Rejected Products in Facebook Feed

Products that Facebook believes do not comply with its guidelines are displayed as rejected in your product catalog. Facebook's automated systems sometimes reject products by mistake.

If you believe products have been rejected in error, you can request an additional review. You can submit up to 5,000 review requests per week. You can request a review in two ways: from your catalog or in Account Quality.

Requesting a Review from Your Catalog

You can submit a review request for one rejected item at a time in your catalog. Here's how to request a review:

  1. Go to Facebook Products and select a catalog.
  2. Open the Catalog tab and go to Items.
  3. Filter the products by problems and then by policy violations on the left. Products that have been rejected due to policy violations are displayed on the right.
  4. Find a rejected product and select View Problems.
  5. Make sure you are on the Channels tab on the product details page. On the left, select an advertising or sales channel you want to use the product for. Channels where the product is rejected are displayed in red.
  6. If you believe the product has been rejected in error, select Request Review. Write feedback if you want, and select Submit.

The product is now displayed as "Under Review." Review usually takes a few days, but can sometimes take longer. You can go back to the product details page at any time to see the status of the review. If the review is approved, the product will be ready for use. If the review is not approved, the product will remain rejected. You cannot submit a new review request for the same product.

Requesting a Review in Account Quality

In Account Quality, you can request a review for up to five rejected products at the same time.

Here's how to request a review:

  1. Go to Account Quality.
  2. Select your Business Manager account.
  3. Select the catalog with the rejected products under Commerce Accounts & Catalogs.
  4. The rejected products are displayed. Select up to five products that you believe have been rejected incorrectly.
  5. Select Request Review. Write feedback if you want, and select Submit.

The products are now displayed on the Under Review tab. Review usually takes a few days, but can sometimes take longer. You can go back to Account Quality at any time to see the status of the review. If the review is approved, the products will be shown on the Reinstated tab and will be ready for use. If the review is not approved, the products will be shown on the Not Reinstated tab and will remain rejected. You cannot submit a new review request for the same products.
