Learn how to write effective category descriptions for your Acendy store. These descriptions help customers find what they're looking for and improve your store's search engine optimization.

Category description

It is important to take your time to write good and unique category descriptions. These should describe what is in the categories, such as products, benefits, brands and any recommendations.

To add category descriptions, click on the pencil next to the relevant category or subcategory. Then you can edit the description.

Then click on the "change category description" field:

In category descriptions, you have the option to enter text both at the top and bottom of the page:

You can enter text both at the top and bottom of the page. It is recommended to have minimal text in the top description so that the user does not have to scroll down to the product overview. If you have a lot of text, the rest can be placed in the bottom description.
