# Split Payments in Acendy POS

This article explains how to split a payment between multiple payment methods in Acendy POS.

## Two types of split payments

There are two ways to split a payment, and they work slightly differently.

### 1\. Split between multiple cards or Vipps

*(For example, partly paid with one card and the remaining amount with another card or Vipps)*

To use this option, split payments must be enabled.

Go to:  
**Main Menu → Settings → Payments → Allow split payments**

Once enabled, you can split payments as follows:

-   Card → Card → Card (multiple cards)
-   Card → Vipps
-   Vipps → Card

### 2\. Split between cash / gift card / store credit and card

*(For example, partly paid in cash and the remaining amount by card)*

For this type of split payment, you do **not** need to enable split payments.

#### How to do it

1.  Select **Cash** or **Gift Card / Store Credit**
2.  Enter the amount to be paid
3.  Tap **Pay**
4.  Select **Card** to pay the remaining balance

### Example: Cash + Card

1.  Add products to the cart
2.  Tap **Cash**
3.  Enter the amount the customer pays
4.  Select **Register payment**
5.  Tap **Card** to pay the remaining balance
