You reuse a Global product collection on as many products as you want. Product variants bind together products that are variants of each other. > **💡 The page is in English** > The buttons and text on these two pages are currently in English. The jackets themselves are not in the collection. Example of Product variants: "Sweater Fjord" with six colors. Each of the six colors is a member, and each of them shows all six. Related products and Shop the Look do not exist as Global or Product variants. * * * ## Global product collection ### Create **1.** Go to the page for global collections (**Global Collections**). You get there from **Manage global collections** on a product. **2.** Click **Create collection** **3.** Enter a name and select a display type. **4.** Add the products to be included in the collection. ### Connect products - **From a product:**Connect global collection **in the Global section.**From the collection: - **Assign products in bulk** in the row menu. Search by name, item number, or product ID, and check multiple items. The search starts after two characters and shows up to 50 results. You can search multiple times before connecting. Selections remain between searches. Products that are already connected are shown as checked and cannot be selected. See which products use the collection with **View attached products**. There you can also remove multiple products at once (**Un-assign products** ### Edit, copy, and delete - Click the pencil icon to change the name and display type. The change applies to all products using the collection. - Open the collection to add products (**Add product**) and view **Included products**. You set colors, images, and short names here, in the same way as on a product. - **Clone** creates a copy of the collection. - Deleting removes the collection from all products. Collections created before display types existed are displayed as Basic. * * * ## Product variants ### Create You can create a Product Variations collection from the page **Product variations**, or from a product: **1.** Open the product and go to the tab **Collections** **2.** Click **Create connected collection** **3.** Enter name and select display type. The product you came from will be added as a member automatically. Add the other variations afterwards. Product variation collections cannot be connected in bulk and cannot be copied. ### Connect a product to an existing collection Click **Link connected collection** on the product and select the collection. You can also remove the product from the collection from there. ### One product, one collection A product can only be part of one Product Variations collection. If you try to add it to another, you will receive a message stating which product is already in another one. In the search on the collection page, such products are grayed out. > **💡 Can be changed later** > The rule of one collection per product is a temporary limitation. It may be removed later. ### Include current product The setting "**Include current product**" determines whether a product sees itself in the collection on its own page. | Choice | Customer sees | | --- | --- | | Off (default) | Only the other variants | | On | All variants, with the current product highlighted | The product is a member in both cases. If you turn the setting off, it is not removed from the collection. You choose how the current product is highlighted in the design builder. Read Display product collections on the product page. ### Order The products are displayed in the order they were added, on all variant pages.
