# Customer Overview

## Customer Overview

The customer overview is the list of all customers in your store. Here you can find a customer, narrow down the list with filters, save frequently used views, and export customer data to CSV.

You can find it under **Orders/Customers > Customers**

## Search

The search field searches through these fields simultaneously:

- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Customer number
- Company name

If you type multiple words, each word must match at least one of the fields. If you search for `kalle klovn`, you will get a match for the customer named Kalle Klovn — but also for Kalle at the company Klovn AS. This allows you to combine first and last names, or name and company, without having to consider which field the value is in.

You don't need wildcards. The search matches parts of a word, so `klov`, finds both «Klovn» and «Klovnesen».

## Filters

Click **Filter** to narrow down the list. The filters you get depend on which services your store has.

| Filter | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Residence | Matches city/town in customer's address |
| Country | Select one or more countries |
| Newsletter recipient | Differentiates between subscribed and unsubscribed |
| Has orders | Customers with or without orders in the online store |
| Has POS orders | Customers who have shopped at the POS terminal |
| Product notifications | Customers on a waiting list for back-in-stock items |
| Member since | Date range for when the account was created |
| Last login | Date range for the last login |
| Total order value | From and to amount |
| Number of orders | From and to quantity |
| Customer group | Requires reseller solution |
| Bonus points / Has bonus points | Requires customer club |
| Account manager | Requires reseller solution |
| Address *(new Sep. 2026)* | Matches parts of the customer's street address, e.g. «storgata» finds everyone on Storgata |
| Postal code *(new Sep. 2026)* | Matches parts of the customer's postal code |
| Postal code range *(new Sep. 2026)* | From and to postal code, to retrieve an entire area in one search (e.g. 0150–0999 for central Oslo). Only covers postal codes starting with numbers — foreign postal codes like «AB12 3CD» are not captured here, in that case, use the Postal code filter |
| Date of birth *(new Sep. 2026)* | Date range for the customer's date of birth |

Active filters are displayed as clickable tags above the list, so you can see what is enabled. The filters are in the page's address — if you bookmark the page or send the link to a colleague, you will return to the same selection.

## Columns

Click **Columns** to select what the list displays. In addition to name, email, and phone, you can also retrieve:

- Orders, open orders and total order value
- Logins, last login and last modified
- Customer since
- Company name and residence
- Marketing and subscribed product alerts
- Customer group, bonus points and customer manager, where the store offers these services
- Address, Postcode, Date of Birth and Org. number *(new Sep. 2026)* — these four are off by default, turn them on via the column selector

You can drag the columns into the desired order, and you can sort most of them by clicking the column header. The list is sorted by customer number with the newest first until you choose otherwise.

The column selection is included in the CSV export. If you want specific fields in an export, bring them up as columns first.

## Saved views

A view remembers filters, sorting, and column layout under one name. Practical for selections you retrieve regularly — «Customers without orders», «Business customers in Oslo», «Newsletter recipients last year».

### Save a view

1. Set up the list as you want it: filters, sorting, and columns.
2. Click the save button in the filter bar.
3. Give the view a name, or save over an existing view.

### Use and manage views

Your views are in the **Views**\-menu above the list. There you can open a view, rename it, duplicate it, set it as default, or delete it.

If you set a view as default, that's the one you'll see when you open the customer overview. If you mark a view as a favorite, it will appear under **Custom views** in the menu on the left, so you can go directly to it.

Views are personal — you see your own, and those you create do not disturb your colleagues.

## Open and edit a customer

Click anywhere on a row to open the customer card. It contains contact information, company details, statistics, and actions. See **Customer Card** for details.

The three-dot button on the far right of the row opens an action menu with the same options you find on the customer card — create order, view orders, purchased products, send email, log in as customer, and more. See **Actions on a customer**

## Delete multiple customers

1. Select the customers in the list.
2. Open **Actions** at the top right.
3. Choose **Delete selected** and confirm.

Deletion cannot be undone. The customer's orders will remain — it is the customer account with contact and address information that is removed. The deletion is recorded in the System Log.

## Export customer data

The export runs in the background, so you can continue working while it is being created. You will receive a CSV file with the columns and selection you have on the screen.

1. Set filters, search, and columns as you want the export.
2. Open **Actions** and select **Export customer data**You will be sent to
3. Export Archive**, where the export is listed as «Processing» with a progress indicator.**When the status is «Ready», click the download icon.

**New from September 2026:** The CSV export now always includes **Address**Postal Code**Date of Birth** and **Org. Number** for each customer — regardless of whether you have enabled these columns in the view. You therefore do not need to activate the columns in the customer overview to include them in this export.

Large exports provide a confirmation first, as they take some time. If an export fails, you can restart it from the archive with the same selection — you don't need to set up the filters again.

The export archive is personal: you see and download your own exports. You can find it under **Customers > Export Archive**

If you need all data about a single customer — for example, for a data access request — use the GDPR export on the customer card instead. It is described in **Actions on a Customer**

## Tips

- The customer overview does not show the cash customer from the POS system. It is a technical placeholder for cash sales, not a person, and cannot be edited or deleted. If you have built a selection you want to share, copy the address from the browser. Filters, search, and sorting are included in the link.
