# Activate Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is perhaps the best and easiest way to secure your user account. Follow the guide below to activate this on your Acendy user account.

## Get Started

**Step 1:** Click on "Edit profile" in your control panel.

**Step 2:** Scroll down to "Account security" and click on "Configure multi-factor authentication".

**Step 3:** Before you can set up multi-factor authentication, you must confirm your current password.

**Step 4:** Follow the steps on the page using, for example, Google Authenticator.

To use authentication when logging in, you must use a suitable app. We recommend using Google Authenticator, as this is easy and safe to use.

### How to disable 2FA on your account

To disable 2FA, you can contact our customer service via email at kundeservice@mystore.no. It is important that you contact us using the email address associated with the account for which you want to disable 2FA. We cannot disable 2FA via chat or phone.
