What is a sitemap?

In short, it is a sitemap of the contents of the online store. Every online store in Mystore has its own sitemap that is generated and updated automatically.

Please note that the submission of the sitemap assumes that you have already set up Google Search Console (formerly called Google Webmasters Tool).

Why you should:

Make it easier for Google and other search engines to get an overview of the content and structure of your online store. This is especially useful for new online stores since it can cause Google to index pages faster.

Here's how to do it:

  1.  Log in to Google Search Console
  2. Select Sitemap from the main menu on the left
  3. Type the sitemap.xml after the domain of the online store as illustrated in the image below
  4. Tap submit
  5. Check that your submission is complete and approved
