For you who run an online store, it is very important to have sales conditions visible in your online store. As a trader, you are responsible for staying informed about changes in the terms and legislation governing e-commerce.
What are the terms of sale?
Terms of sale consist of standard conditions of sale for consumer purchases on the Internet. They aim to ensure that e-commerce takes place in accordance with applicable consumer legislation, which includes the Consumer Purchase Act, the Right of Withdrawal Act and the E-commerce Act.
The terms of sale you refer to in your online shop must at all times be in accordance with Norwegian law. In addition, payment providers require that terms of sale are visible in the online store.
How to add sales conditions to your online store
Terms of sale are available by default on all our webshops. You can find your terms of sale here:
- Log in to your Control Panel
- Select Design > Main Menu/Content
- On the Sales Terms, tap Edit
It is particularly important to fill in point 2 The parties correctly with the legal information that your company has in the Brønnøysund Register Centre.
Read more about this in the Consumer Authority's guide for a better understanding of the terms of sale.
