The inventory valuation report stores a daily overview of your inventory so you can easily see stock value and retail value.
How does it work?
After activation, the report takes a snapshot of the store's inventory every night at 00:00.
The following day, you can look up the report to see both inventory, inventory value, and retail value of your entire inventory.
Each snapshot is saved so you can go back in time to see inventory.
The inventory report can be found by going to Tools > Logistics > Inventory Valuation Report
The inventory value report doesn't support product sync or integrations set up via our API, yet. Changes made to the product's stock count via product sync or the API will not be reflected in the report.
What does the report contain?
The foundation that is generated contains the following fields:
- Article number
- Product name
- Input Price
- Selling price (excluding VAT)
- Physical inventory
- Producer
- Total input price
- Total retail price
In addition, we store a timestamp to show exactly when the foundation was generated.
Summing value and inventory
The rows are summarized in the following ways:
*= Inventory value
Selling price * physical stock = Retail value
The total retail value/inventory value is the sum of the fields above.
Important regarding summation
If your warehouse contains items with a minus in physical stock, it will result in the item getting negative stock value. The negative inventory value will then be subtracted from the total inventory value/retail value.
This applies to inventory value, retail value, and inventory (quantity in stock). You can choose to exclude minus products through the filters on the report.
Example:
Product | Input Price | Physical inventory | Inventory value |
Yellow sweater | 100 | -2 | -200,00 |
Blue sweater | 100 | 3 | 300,00 |
Total inventory value | 100,00 |
An item should never have less than 0 in physical stock. Even if you oversell items, physical inventory should not go lower than 0. In the case of overselling, it is disposable that goes into the minus.

Usage and functionality
After the service is activated, you can find it under Tools > Logistics > Inventory value report.
Note that the generation only occurs at 00:00, so the result is not ready until the day after activation.
When you open the report, you must first select the date that you want to see the inventory for.
Then load the report and you will see a table with the fields mentioned above.
The report is only intended for viewing values and therefore does not support multiple columns, or change the columns that are there.
At the bottom of the table is a summary of the entire sample in the report.
- Total inventory value excluding VAT
Sum of all line items inventory value - Total retail value excluding VAT
The sum of the retail value of all line items - Inventory
Total number of products and variants in stock
NB! The summation is not part of the export. If you export the report, you have to do the summation yourself afterwards.
Sorting
Sorting is available on every column in the report.
Date picker
Select the date on which you want to see the inventory value. New foundations are generated every night.
The date picker only supports individual days and a date range cannot be selected.
Filter
To make it easier to create a selection of products, there are a few filters available:
- Physical inventory
Show only items that have physical stock within the quantity you select - Producer
Show only items from the selected manufacturer. It is possible to choose several manufacturers. - Hide negatives/zero in stock
Hides all items that have 0 or fewer in stock - Show only negative/zero in stock
Shows only items that have 0 or fewer in stock. This can be a great way to clean up their inventory as physical inventory should never be less than zero.
Grouping
Grouping allows you to group all items per producer and thus see the value and stock at producer level.
Search
The search bar allows you to search by product name and article number.
One can also specify to search only within name or article number by first typing "MODEL:" followed by article number, or "NAME:" followed by product name.
Combine filter and search
You can of course also choose to combine filters and searches to get exactly the selection you are looking for.
Export
If desired, the report can be exported to CSV.
The export takes into account filters and searches. This means that if you have chosen to filter on e.g. manufacturer, only the result shown in the report will be included in the export.
To export, click "Export", give the file a name and click "Export →". The finished generated export is located in the "Export archive", located in the menu on the left.
PS! If you have chosen to group by manufacturer, the exports will also be grouped.
