Migrating to Mystore from other platforms

We offer migration for our new customers. This means that we extract as much information as possible from an old online store and get this into your new Mystore store. For established online stores, this is a service that makes the transition easy and smooth. You remove potentially large amounts of manual work that would have to be done if you were to start from scratch.

You decide whether you want all of this above or just shares. Sometimes it can be an advantage to transfer the products only. It is not possible to transfer orders without transferring customers and products, the orders depend on these.

How the process works.

1. Access

Before we can start a migration, we need the necessary accesses. The most common is an administrator access or FTP access. This varies between different platforms. If this is not possible, we can get around with a database dump. This is one or more files that contain all data in your online store. 

2. Demo migration.

The next step is to conduct a demo migration. Then 10 products, 10 customers and 10 orders are transferred. In addition, there are categories and manufacturers associated with the products above. What comes across is chosen at random. Such a transfer tells us what the finished result will look like and allows us to take preventive steps if something doesn't quite match. It is important that we look carefully at the result together with you so that we do not miss anything.

3. Full migration.

When we're both ready, we'll start a full migration. This is a process that runs in the background until it's finished. Depending on the size of your store, this can take a while, in some cases up to 3 days.

4. Checking and refining.

Now most of the work goes over to you. The store should be ready to go live! No two online store platforms are the same, therefore products, categories and manufacturers will be different after the migration than they were in your old online store. In some cases, it takes some work here to get the structure the way you want it.

5. Post-migration.

When you are satisfied with the store, we do a post-migration. Then data that has appeared in your old store will be transferred, so that the new one is completely up to date. If the migration was done with a database dump instead of a direct link, then it will not be possible to do a post-migration.
