About Meta Pixel
The meta pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by understanding the actions people take on your website.
After you set up the Meta pixel, the pixel fires when someone takes an action on your website. Examples of actions include viewing a product, adding a product to cart, or making a purchase. The pixel receives these actions, or events, that you can see on the Meta pixel page in Events Manager.
You'll also have the opportunity to reach those customers again through future Meta ads.
Where can I find my Meta pixel?
If you've created a Meta-pixel, you'll find it in the menu under Business Settings > Data sources > Pixels.
Creating the Meta Pixel
If you haven't created a Meta-pixel, here's how you can do it:
1: Log in to your Business Manager account.
2: Go to the menu item "Company Settings" > "Data sources" > "Pixels"
3: Tap "Add"
4: Give your pixel one name. There's only one pixel per ad account, so choose a name that represents your business.
5: Press "Set up your pixel now"
6: Select "Add pixel code to website manually"
7: Tap into the window and you copy the Meta-pixel code.
Send this to customer service and we will add it to your online store.
8: Press "Cancel"
You have now created a Facebook Pixel 🎉
